DVD REVIEW:Movie: Disc: The Movie: Pro wrestler The Rock makes his top-bill debut in this charmless and derivative exercise in high concept. A perfunctory plot about ancient barbarians is merely the pretext for scantily clad characters and ham-fisted fight scenes amid a rotting compost of CGI.The Disc: The mountain of bonus materials, including several making-of featurettes and an essentially identical "alternate version" of the film, demonstrates the limitless gluttony of the DVD format-rarely has so much effort gone into the creation of so little. Dense as his name would indicate, The Rock's enhanced commentary (he is viewable while recording it) ranges in observations from "This is one of my favorite scenes" to "This is a great scene."
