American Pie 2 catches up with the characters of the original film after their freshman year of college, and, to summarize the entire movie, they're still trying to get laid, engaging in a series of amusing-and often embarrassing-sexual hijinks along the way. Amazingly, the entire cast of the first American Pie returned for the sequel, although the girls' roles are strictly supporting ones at best. Watching the DVD's making-of documentary, you get the feeling that everyone is there for financial reasons (especially Natasha Lyonne, who seems bored to tears), and it's rather obvious in the behind-the-scenes reel when Seann William Scott and Jason Biggs chant, "Big box office, big box office," before filming a scene in which they kiss each other.
